Aaron J. Herkamp, 27, of Greenwood, died on Thursday, Feb. 2, 2012. He was born on July 18, 1984, at St. Francis Hospital in Beech Grove, a son of Joseph A. and Katherine P. Herkamp. They survive in Greenwood.
Other survivors include his maternal grandmother Stella Panteliodis of Florida; two sisters, Anna and Kaitlin Herkamp, both of Greenwood; and uncles and aunts: Phillip and Bonnie Herkamp of Columbus; Nathan and Lee Herkamp of Florida, Norman and Mary Ellen Adams of Massachusetts, and Mike and Lisa Panteliodis of Florida; as well as many cousins. Also surviving is his very dear friend, Aaron Ray, of Greenwood.
He is preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Herkamp; paternal grandparents, Oscar and Mabel Herkamp; his maternal grandfather, Alex Panteliodis; and his uncle, Michael Panteliodis.
Aaron graduated from Center Grove High School in 2003 and from Purdue University in 2007. He also earned a paralegal certification from Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis. He worked as a paralegal at Maginot Moore Beck LLP in Indianapolis - a position he loved. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He was known for his incredible sense of humor, his work ethic and his smile.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday evening at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, Greenwood Chapel, 481 W. Main St. Greenwood. The funeral will take place at 12:00 noon Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery.
In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Epilepsy Foundation of Indiana, 3901 W. 86th Street, Suite 380, Indianapolis, IN 46268.
