Dessie Louise Taylor, 92 passed away February 16, 2012. She was a resident of Indianapolis. She was born December 2, 1919 in Crown Point, Indiana to the late Bill and Elizabeth Bixler.

She is survived by her sons, Larry (Linda) Taylor and Bob Taylor; daughters, Rachel Cox and Theresa (Richard) Steward; 18 grandchildren; several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Taylor; son, Stanley Taylor; and daughters, Elizabeth Anderson, and Barbara Sue Taylor.

Before retiring Dessie worked for St. Francis Hospital as a nurse and later she became a private nurse, providing health care to others in their homes.
She was a member of Southside Nazarene Church.

A service will be conducted at 10:00am Monday at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, Southport Chapel, 7520 Madison Ave, Indianapolis. Friends may call from 4:00pm-8:00pm Sunday at the funeral home.
